How to Update Your Globe SIM Registration, Report a Lost SIM or Transfer a Number
Last checked: October 27, 2026, against Globe’s official SIM registration pages. Independent guide, not affiliated with Globe Telecom.
Quick answer: Globe asks you to notify it immediately, by visiting a Globe Store, when your registration information changes or you want a registered SIM deactivated. For a lost SIM, contact Globe through Facebook Messenger or a store; Globe deactivates the lost prepaid SIM and issues a replacement with the same number. Postpaid lines can be transferred; Globe says prepaid transfer guidelines are still to come.
The SIM Registration Act expects your registered details to stay accurate. This guide covers every change Globe’s pages describe. For first-time registration, see our main Globe SIM registration guide.
When your details change
Globe asks registered users to report changes immediately at a Globe Store. Bring a valid ID that shows the new details. Common reasons:
- A new surname after marriage
- A new home address
- A corrected birthday or name spelling
| Account type | Where to update |
|---|---|
| Prepaid (Globe, TM) | Globe Store |
| Postpaid and Platinum | Globe Store |
| Globe At Home | Dial 211 from a Globe mobile, or a Globe Store |
| Globe Business | Through the company’s authorized representative |
Lost phone or SIM
- Contact Globe right away through Globe Telecom on Facebook Messenger or at a Globe Store.
- Give your full name, address, date of birth and mobile number so Globe can match the registration.
- Globe permanently deactivates the lost prepaid SIM so no one else can use it.
- Globe issues a replacement SIM with the same number.
Acting quickly matters: under the SIM Registration Act, you are linked to anything done with a SIM registered in your name.
Transferring a number to someone else
Globe’s help page says ownership transfer is allowed for postpaid lines. For prepaid SIMs, Globe says guidelines are “to be provided soon”, so ask at a Globe Store. For business lines, MSME postpaid accounts use Globe Business Facebook Messenger, and corporate postpaid accounts email or call (02) 7730-1288.
Asking Globe to deactivate a registered SIM
If you no longer use a SIM registered in your name, ask Globe to deactivate it at a Globe Store. This protects you if the SIM ends up in someone else’s hands.
When a registered user dies
Globe asks the immediate family to report the death. Globe deactivates the SIM within 24 hours of receiving the report.
Switching to Globe from another network
If you move your number to Globe through Mobile Number Portability, Globe says you must register the SIM again on its online portal.
Company SIMs and employees
If an employee leaves and the company SIM was registered under that employee, the company’s authorized representative must contact Globe to update it. If it was registered under the company or its representative, no update is needed. Our Globe postpaid guide covers changing a business’s authorized representative.
Why keeping your details current matters
A registered SIM is tied to your identity, so outdated details can cause problems when you need help from Globe, for example after losing your phone. The SIM Registration Act also treats false information seriously: Globe’s help page lists imprisonment of 6 months to 2 years and/or a fine of up to ₱300,000 for giving false details or using a fake ID.
Your registration data is protected. Section 9 of the Act requires telcos to keep it confidential, and Globe says it can only be accessed with your authorization or a court order. Read more in our SIM Registration Act guide.
What to bring to a Globe Store
- A valid government ID; see our list of accepted IDs
- The mobile number involved
- Your registration reference number, if you have it
- Any document that supports the change, such as a marriage certificate
